From Cutting to Finishing

CUTTING – whether done by shearing or on our cnc machines – we need to get the component parts produced.

FORMING– folding the metal to the right 3D form is the next step we can fold to 3m long.

MACHINING – we cannot always form complex shapes during the folding process, so our fully equipped machine shops of CNC, lathes, mills, drills and laser cutter will do what needs to be done.

WELDING – We assemble the component next, we offer a full range of welding options, including MIG, TIG, arc, spot and stud welding and can weld all types of metal from stainless steel and aluminium to copper, brass and titanium

FINISHING – Whether by painting, plating or anodising, we will ensure you have the perfect product for your requirements by the end of this process.

Welding Overview

If welding is required, we can offer a full range of welding options, including TIG, MIG, Arc, Spot and Stud welding and can weld all types of metal, from stainless steel and aluminium to copper, brass and titanium across our facilities.

We can offer our welding services as part of our fabrication process or as a stand-alone process in our facilities in both the North and South of the country, so wherever you may be in the UK we have you covered!

Our coded welders are highly experienced and will provide you with perfect finish for your product as well as being able to offer advice.

We offer welding for all industries and trades ranging from basic repair jobs to highly decorative lighting to the aerospace and nuclear industries.

Machining Overview

Precision machining to tight, or fine, tolerances is just one of our specialities. If you’re looking for batches of identical units or just that one off piece you need made, give us a call.

For small batches, we can offer manual machining using our highly experienced precision engineers on a range of machines.

For bigger batches and/or more complicated jobs, we can offer CNC machining, both turning and milling.

We will always discuss with you first all the options to fit your requirements. We work with a wide range of metals, from the various forms of steel, through aluminium and non-ferrous metals to alloys such as Monel, Kovar and Inconel.

We often work with titanium, and associated alloys, where strength and weight are important considerations. If you have castings you need to be machined, we can machine castings ranging from aluminium, brass and various forms of steels and iron.

The services we offer:

  • CNC, Manual, and High Precision Turning
  • CNC and Manual and High Precision Milling
  • Engraving
  • Tool Making
  • Drilling

Whatever material you need us to machine and however small or large your batches, give us a call to discuss your machining requirements.

Sheet Metal Overview

Cutting, forming, welding and finishing are the primary stages in any Sheet Metal fabrication project. Your product may not need all these stages, but If you need something made from metal, Calder Metal Solutions Ltd is the place to come. We have facilities in both the North of England and in London to cover the entirety of the UK for your convenience.

Everything starts from a conversation or a set of drawings. Whether your product is still just an idea or has been produced hundreds of times before, we look to ensure what we do will be exactly right for your needs.

We cover all industries and trades including the construction, retail, food and aerospace to name but a few. With our team of highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal engineers, you can be confident that we can produce exactly what you need to a very high standard.
